About a month ago, my nails became really…well… “ill.”  I will admit, that I had not been providing proper care for them.  Nail polish was chipped, cuticles were a mess, and growth became extremely limited.  After much neglect, I checked into New York’s London Hotel for what I call; a nail miracle.

Referred by a few reps from the Creative Nail Design camp, I learned about a nail service called Shellac! Created a few months ago by CND, Shellac is basically nail color that lasts for up to 2 weeks or more.  Using innovative technology, there is unbeleivably no dry time and your nail color stays perfectly in place.  No chipping! No accidents after your manicure!

Once I received my first Shellac service exclusively at the London Hotel, my heart began to beat repeatedly as I fell in love with this service.  I officially had a Shellac attack!  Everyday for about 2 weeks, I would inspect my nails for any mishaps.  Did I find any? No!  I have been hooked every since.

Shellac services are provided mostly at Nail Spa’s in the Tri-State area.  However, the CND website features a list of all the salons the currently provide this service.  My personal favorite Nail Spa so far is Jinsoon. (It’s sooo cozy and chic!) The prices usually start at about $45.  The price point is ideal as it is what you would probably pay for the price of 2 manicures.
